Q.  What is the difference between E-series P2 cards and other seies of P2 cards?

A.  The short answer from a renting perspective is "nothing".  E-series cards have a shorter overall lifespan than previous series of P2 cards, so after about 1800 cycles, the card will no longer function.  All P2 cards will work together in the same camera on the same shoot in the same ultimate timeline for editing.  Panasonic has a longer explanation here.
