Chris, Gianluca, Theresa, and Govinda are up in Armonk, NY, at IBM today. They are shooting a 3-camera interview on Sony FS-100 cameras and lighting with Kino Diva 400 lights. And that is Gianluca. It looks like he is standing in, but he is also not really on set...so your guess is as good as mine.

We used our large arsenal of RedRock lego blocks to make this custom rig which is the perfect solution for shoulder mounting the RED DSMC camera. For those interested we took a RR cheeseplate and micro clamps and using shims, selected screws and positioning made this simple but elegant, comfortable and all around minimalist shoulder mount system while retaining everything a camera operator would want.

Here is where the Kung Fu lies - strategic placement of the micro clamps:

BTW, the shoulder pad is not from RedRock Micro. It's from Cinecity which knocked off Zacuto and RR to huge failure..except the shoulder pad..which you can get from Berkley systems.

PJ's Jake Magee stopped in to pick up (2) Canon 7D cameras and a Joker 800 for a fashion shoot today. Jake loves the Joker and I really can't blame him.

Jake is going to miss the upcoming and seemingly monthly Fashion Week to work as a Utility in G and E on Mike Simmond's next feature, Deep Powder. Mike will be filming upstate on the Alexa. And PJ's PMW-F3 is scheduled to go up for a week in February with the Gemini 4:4:4 recorder and the Cooke Panchros as a second camera.

A stunt skier/camera operator will be operating the F3 as he tears down the mountain. We like to think that our F3 had a good life and wouldn't want to go out any other way.
